FHC is pleased to announce that Bob Dunlop has been appointed Lead Physiotherapist on FHC’s Integrated Science & Technology (IST) Team.

“Bob’s leadership is well established within the Canadian Sport System and community,” says John Sacré, IST Lead.  “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team.”

“Having had the pleasure of working with the Men’s National Team for a number of years, I am looking forward to helping the national program, as a whole, enhance our injury prevention and treatment services,” says Dunlop.

Bob has served Canadian athletes at a number of major international games, including the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan.  He was the Chief Therapist for the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, and was on the FHC Medical Staff for the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney.  Bob has a long history with the Canadian National Teams – including 25 international tours over the years.  Most recently he worked with our National Teams in Guadalajara at the 2011 Pan American Games.

As Lead Physiotherapist, Bob’s primary focus will be establishing strong support for our National Teams by:

1) Supporting best performance by optimal functional training recovery and efficient and effective injury management.

2) Establishing an effective communication network with coaches, IST members, athletes and external service providers.

3) Recruiting and scheduling therapy staff for National Team events.
