The British Columbia men’s and women’s provincial teams captured their respective field hockey national championships Monday afternoon at Hawkings Field in Calgary. It was the first titles for the senior teams since 2006.

The British Columbia senior women won an all-B.C. final against the Under-19 team with a 4-1 victory. The B.C. men defeated Team Ontario 1-0 in extra time earlier in the day.

The Ontario women and Alberta men each captured the bronze medal.
