Women’s National Indoor Team
Head Coach and Manager Position (Volunteer)
(February 2010 – September 2010)
Field Hockey Canada will accept applications for two positions- Head Coach and Manager, Women’s Indoor Hockey Program. These positions will be volunteer positions which will start in February 2010 and conclude in September 2010.

Head Coach: General Description
Provide the national indoor team a high performance plan and environment required for athletes and support staff to develop and succeed at the highest level internationally. This position is directly accountable to the National Women’s Head Coach.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- provide senior leadership to the athletes and staff involved in the national indoor team program
- identification and preparation of a women’s indoor national team to compete in the 2010 Pan American Indoor World Cup Qualification Tournament in Venezuela, August 9th to 15th
- program is completely self funded and the head coach will need to assist the team manager in fundraising and sponsorship activities
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have 3 – 5 years experience and a proven record of success in senior elite indoor hockey programming.
Proof of Level 3 or 4 National Coaching Certification, e.g. Senior International Coach or equivalency is required.

Team Manager: General Description
Support the National Coach and Women’s Team to develop and succeed at the highest level internationally. This position is directly accountable to the Indoor Women’s Head Coach.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- support and work closely with the indoor national team coach
- manage the women’s indoor national team during the 2010 Indoor Pan American Cup, in Venezuela, August 9th to 15th
- responsible for all program elements including travel, accommodation, budget management, team communication and uniforms
- program is completely self funded and the manager will be responsible for sponsorship and fundraising activities to reduce the player levies
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have 3 – 5 years management and fund raising/sponsorship experience, and a proven record of success in managing senior elite indoor hockey teams.
