The Canadian men’s national field hockey team tied New Zealand 3-3 Wednesday afternoon in Salta, Argentina. The match was an exhibition contest as the two sides prepare for the 2009 FIH Champions Challenge I tournament beginning December 6th.
The Canadians twice came back to tie the game after being down 0-2 and 2-3.
"The result wasn’t what mattered," said head coach Alan Brahmst after the game. "It was more about getting used to the heat and altitude for a full 70 mintes."
Canada opens the tournament this Sunday against Pakistan.
