FHC announces CanterburyNZ as official clothing partner

Field Hockey Canada is pleased to announce it has signed an exclusive agreement with CanterburyNZ to be its official clothing partner through the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

In its role the CanterburyNZ design team will work closely with both the Men’s and Women’s National teams to design and manufacture the most advanced high performance training and match wear on the market today. This integrated approach and customized design was the key factor in Field Hockey Canada’s decision to develop this business partnership.

Canterbury Clothing Company is one of New Zealand’s oldest clothing companies, providing clothes for top sports teams around New Zealand and the world. Expanding their market out from Rugby, Canterbury entered the hockey world first through their partnership with Ireland and is now excited to develop their brand through the strong Canadian hockey market.

The Canadian women’s team recently sported the new Canterbury look for their successful “Fight for the Cure” match at the University of British Columbia. The Canadian men will launch their 2009/2010 apparel at the 7testsuperseries to be held in Victoria and Surrey from October 9th  through 24th, 2009.
