Blog: Women’s Indoor Team Day 4

Dear Canada,

We are here today joined by Nicole, Jenna, Ali, and our new arrival Azelia. Our day started with a team breakfast, as usual, and then a workout and stretch with Melanie. During the workout we met a new friend; an Iguana jumped out of nowhere and scared us all. This was our first encounter with Venezuela’s exotic wildlife. We then had lunch, which was followed by the arrival of our goalie and captain Azelia. Zee’s enthusiasm towards the game will be a key part to our success. Our second exhibition game against Argentina was an exciting game as we came out with a second win. Goals were scored by Nicole Zaharopoulos, and Angela Lancaster. KJ Williams and Azelia Liu earned a second shutout with a combined effort. Our day was wrapped up with chilly ice baths and a team dinner.

Monday the tournament begins! We are all excited and ready to show what Canada is made of!

We will write to you tomorrow,

Jess, Erin, Amanda, Kri, Angela, Nicole, Ali, Azelia, and Jenna
