Day 2 :

Waking up to the sun was definately a happy change from the usual Canadian winter weather. Driving to the field was both exciting and suspenseful wondering what the Olympic Training Centre would look like. When we saw it, all we could say was, "Wow….I wish we had this back at home!" Training was difficult because of the heat (25 degrees), but it was great to practice as a whole Canadian Junior National Team for the first time. After practice we raced home to enjoy subway sandwiches for lunch, then, we headed back to OTC for our second practice. Unfortunately, we had such a short turn around time, that it felt like we had never left the field. Our second practice was a slower paced practice that consisted of defensive set plays and short corners. Driving home we were informed that we had to have ice baths….what a joy they were! Afterwards, we ate our dinner and had a team meeting. Now we are in our rooms waiting excitedly for what tomorrow will bring us. GO CANADA GO!
