Getting Knocked Out of the Gold Metal Match – USA versus Canada

8:00 am wake up for our morning team swim. After about 20 minutes of refreshing cold water we got out and had breakfast.

We were given 3 to 4 hours of free time to do our home work, emailing our parents and friends but most of the boys spent there time playing poker, watching TV or playing WII.

At 12:00 noon we had a team meeting. The coaches showed some video footage of the USA team and outline our stragies for the upcoming match.

We met in the hotel lobby to leave for the field at 1:45 pm. Our match stared at 3:00 pm.

In the first half they scored 1, Canada 0. Canada got a PC in the first 10 minutes of the second half and Spencer Curran scored a goal for Canada. USA came back with a field goal later and the final score was 2-1 USA.

After the game Canada was more than disapponted. It was very quiet on the bus going back to the hotel. Later that day we had lunch and ice baths.
