During the Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico, Dr. Sue Neill was named Honourary Life Member by the PAHF. This recognition acknowledges Neill’s contribution to the development of field hockey in the Americas over the past 25 years.
Sue Neill was elected to the PAHF Board of Directors in 1983. She served as Chair of the Competition and Development Committees and was elected as the Secretary General in 1995. During her time in this role, she worked with PAHF President, Tony von Ondarza, who describes Sue as “both his right and left hand.” Dr. Neill will continue to support the PAHF as they transition to the newly appointed Secretary General. In addition, Sue remains a member of the International Hockey Federation Executive Board.
Sue has not only contributed significantly at the international level, she has provided outstanding leadership in Canadian sport over the years. On behalf of the entire field hockey community in Canada – Congratulations, Sue!
