Canada – 0 England – 4
Canada came out ready, playing with more grit and determination. The Canadian team was able to execute our half court with significant improvement, holding shape and space as well as making good decisions. Even with this considerable improvement, Canada was under considerable pressure throughout the game mainly due to unforced and forced errors, and when Canada was able to breakout of its zone, the decisions were always under pressure, causing missed opportunity in the open space and/or open players.
Overall, the Canadian side is on a steep learning curve, making improvement in the key areas and goals set out for this tour. The Canadian athletes gave their all to the English side for a full 70 minutes – never quitting or giving an uncontested inch.
The English goals came at the 19th, 30th, 61st and 69th minutes by Chris Griffiths # 24, Sam Warn # 13, Ben Stone # 12 and Peter Jackson # 9.
The score at the end of the 1st half was Canada 0 – England 2.
The score at the end of the 2nd half was Canada 0 – England 4.
