Liz Hoffman Retires From The University of Toronto

October 28, 2010

On July 31st, 2010, Liz Hoffman completed her lengthy career as athlete, coach, manager and director at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Physical Education and Health. Field Hockey Canada and many others were kindly asked by the University of Toronto to honour her outstanding work by writing a letter of appreciation. All letters were put together and presented to her in a bound volume on Tuesday, October 26th, 2010 at her farewell ceremony. With the written letters Liz will be able to reference her hard work, fawned memories, and time spent at the University of Toronto working with her friends and colleagues.

Throughout the years Liz has been a major contributor to the development of Canadian female Field Hockey athletes so that they could reach their highest potential. Whether the athlete’s greatest level of achievement was at a university, provincial, national or an international level, Liz treated them all with the same respect and care they required.

From Mary Cicinelli and the FHC Staff, we would personally like to thank Liz for her contributions to field hockey in Canada, as a player, coach and administrator. She helped shape our sport, and for that we are grateful.

Wishing you all the best Liz!
