Welcome to Field Hockey Canada’s Adopt-an-Athlete Program!

This initiative was created to help raise funds towards supporting athletes involved in Field Hockey Canada’s teams and programs. All donations MUST BE at arm’s length and comply with our policy and the Code of Ethical Standards, to which Field Hockey Canada has signed up.

PLEASE NOTE: IF AN ATHLETE WITHDRAWS, AGES OUT, OR RETIRES, THE FUNDS THAT REMAIN WILL BE PUT TOWARDS THE PROGRAM TO WHICH THE DONATION HAS BEEN MADE.

FHC fundraising goes towards the program. FHC nominated athletes and registered participants are on-boarded by FHC to enable FHC to collectively leverage our entire community network to support FHC programs. We use this platform to help raise funds for the program or event, for example, Masters, Junior Men’s National Program, Women’s National Program, Junior World Cup, Senior World Cup etc. In accordance with legislation, all funds raised for the program, stay within the program / event for which they are raised and cannot be transferred to another program or to any individual.

OFFICIAL DONATION TAX RECEIPT INFORMATION

FHC adheres to RCAAA and the above documents, as previously stated. As such, we can only provide tax receipts at arm’s length. This means family members can donate to the program as a whole and receive a receipt, but cannot donate specifically to their child and receive a tax receipt. Please note that all donations made directly through the Canada Helps platform will receive an automated tax receipt.

Stay tuned as more athletes will become available to support from both the Men’s and Women’s Next Gen group!
