Field Hockey Canada > Field Hockey Canada launches inaugural Digital Conference

Field Hockey Canada is delighted to announce the launch of its first-ever digital conference, the Field Hockey Canada Conference 2020. The four-day event will be held next month from Tuesday, December 1 to Friday, December 4, with the purpose to engage the sport community through a series of workshops and panels during an unprecedented time.

Featuring dynamic sessions catered toward all members of the field hockey community as well as external delegates, topics will range from maintaining mental wellness in high-performance settings to preventing and identifying racial injustice in sport. Attendees will be able to participate in active conversations around the ever-changing sport environment and what it means to be a part of it.

Following a successful Ahead of the Game Webinar Series earlier this year, Communications Manager Kevin Underhill says it makes perfect sense to continue hosting virtual engagements to inform and educate members.

“We are thrilled to offer a fun, engaging and exciting learning opportunity for the community,” Underhill said. “This is our organization’s first time hosting a conference and we’re hoping that people are excited as well, especially [since we’re] building off the webinar series we ran in the spring and summer.”

As more details unfold, the registration link is now live and individuals are able to select which sessions they would like to attend virtually. Speakers will be revealed periodically on FHC’s social media channels and will be reflected on the conference homepage. Though this event is free to all, we encourage and appreciate donations that will go back to the sport and organization.

We hope you’ll join us!
