Field Hockey Canada > Maia Lawrence
Maia is a defender from Victoria, BC who currently plays her club hockey with the Polar Bear FHC in the Premier Division of the Vancouver Women’s Field Hockey League. Maia first represented Canada on the U18 National Team in 2024 in test matches vs Scotland and Wales. She won Gold at Nationals with Team BC at the U16 Championships in 2022 and the U18 Championships in 2023, followed by Silver in 2024. Maia was selected as the 2024 BC School Sports Top Graduating Female Student-Athlete, Oak Bay High Senior Female Athlete of the Year, and awarded the Merit Cup.
Maia made her junior national team debut at the Junior PanAmerican Games in Paraguay in 2025. Maia graduated from Oak Bay High School in 2024 and currently studies Kinesiology at UBC.
