Amanat Dhillon has been playing field hockey since she was 3 years old! Dhillon has also worn her lucky white headband during games since she was young. The reason she got started so young was her father. Her father has also played field hockey throughout his entire life and wanted his daughter to pursue the sport as well. Her father holds an incredibly significant place in her life and his influence and support has shaped her game. Growing up surrounded by sports and coming from a field hockey family, she watched her father teach her older cousins the sport when she was young and wanted to represent her country in the Olympics. After competing above her age group in field hockey at the provincial level, being undefeated in the U16 Provincial team blue, she took another step toward that ambition and now going to play for the U17 Canadian Team in The Netherlands!
