Stella Goddard-Despot has played field hockey since she was 5 years old, following her two older sisters who played. Because of her older sisters, she was always eager to compete and improve, which helped her get to where she is now. At 13, she made her first provincial team, where she was one of the top goal scorers. She made NextGen in 2022 as one of the youngest players and played her first international match against the USA in April of that year. Since then she has played against France for the u18 Canada team (2023), won u16 (2022, team 11) and u18 (2023, top goal scorer) nationals and back to back high school provincial champions ( Handsworth 2022 and 2023). Stella proudly plays for West Vancouver field hockey club and will be heading to Monmouth university to play Div 1 Field hockey.
