Field Hockey Canada today introduces two new members to the administration team.<\/p>\n

Erin Porter, High Performance Manager<\/strong>: Born and raised in North Vancouver, Erin is a highly organized professional with extensive experience as an athlete and administrator in a high performance environment. As an athlete, she played and coached soccer at many levels. Professionally, Erin spent the past eight years working in various capacities for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Most recently, she produced the medal ceremonies for Vancouver 2010 and London 2012, and oversaw the development of Sochi 2014’s medal ceremonies program. With Field Hockey Canada, Erin will manage the planning and implementation of the quadrennial high performance strategy.<\/p>\n

Erin McInnis, Communications and Partner Services Manager<\/strong>: Born in Dawson Creek, Erin began her career in sport working for the Vancouver Canucks before joining the communications team for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. Erin later became the venue press manager for the Whistler Media Centre and Whistler Medals Plaza. After the Games ended, Erin continued to work in communications specialist roles with the University of British Columbia and the Certified Management Accountants Society of BC.  In her capacity at Field Hockey Canada, Erin will work collaboratively with national and international partners to increase the profile of field hockey in Canada.<\/p>\n

Working in collaboration with a variety of partners, Field Hockey Canada is the national sport governing body responsible for the development, growth and promotion of field hockey in Canada. Through the Women’s and Men’s National programs, Field Hockey Canada selects, prepares and promotes Canada’s teams for international competitions including Continental Championships, World Championships, and major multi-sport games such as the Olympic Games, Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games. Approximately 15,000 Canadians participate in field hockey, which is currently played in more than 600 schools and 400 clubs across the country.
