Dani Hennig a d\u00e9pass\u00e9 Steph Jameson au deuxi\u00e8me rang de tous les temps au chapitre des s\u00e9lections avec l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe nationale canadienne f\u00e9minine, avec 171. Scott Tupper a continu\u00e9 d&rsquo;ajouter \u00e0 son impressionnant total de s\u00e9lections et de s&rsquo;approcher du plateau des 300. Quatre \u00e9quipes des ma\u00eetres du Canada ont fait le voyage en Espagne durant l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 pour disputer les Coupes du monde de hockey des ma\u00eetres. Hockey sur gazon Canada a d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9 une \u00e9quipe masculine des 50 ans et plus, deux formations f\u00e9minines (50 ans et plus, 55 ans et plus) ainsi qu\u2019une \u00e9quipe masculine de 60 ans et plus. Il s\u2019agissait de la plus imposante participation du Canada dans les cat\u00e9gories des ma\u00eetres et toutes nos \u00e9quipes ont bien repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le pays \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle internationale.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\"><b>8: Des l\u00e9gendes du hockey canadien intronis\u00e9es au Temple de la renomm\u00e9e de Hockey sur gazon Canada<\/b><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\">Louis Mendonca, Margaret Lanning et Kathy Broderick ont \u00e9t\u00e9 intronis\u00e9s cet automne dans la cat\u00e9gorie des b\u00e2tisseurs au Temple de la renomm\u00e9e de Hockey sur gazon Canada. Sheila Forshaw, une attaquante de niveau \u00e9lite durant l\u2019\u00e2ge d\u2019or de l\u2019\u00e9quipe nationale canadienne f\u00e9minine, a \u00e9t\u00e9 intronis\u00e9e \u00e0 titre d\u2019athl\u00e8te cette ann\u00e9e. Les quatre personnes intronis\u00e9es en 2018 ont eu un impact remarquable sur leur sport au fil des ans. On leur a rendu hommage le 18 novembre 2018 au Hart House \u00e0 Toronto.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\"><b>7: Margaux Brand transforme un \u00ab hobby-carri\u00e8re \u00bb en passion; arbitrer \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle internationale<\/b><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\">Margaux Brand a particip\u00e9 aux Jeux olympiques de la jeunesse 2018 en tant que seule membre canadienne au sein du personnel d\u2019arbitres\/officiels. Brand a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 officier \u00e0 West Vancouver et suivi le cheminement vers le haut niveau, et elle est maintenant une arbitre reconnue \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle internationale. Elle attribue son ascension rapide dans les rangs des officiels canadiens \u00e0 l\u2019aide pr\u00e9cieuse de ses mentors et de sa famille.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\"><b>6: Une affaire de famille aux Jeux du Commonwealth<\/b><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\">Quand les \u00e9quipes canadiennes masculine et f\u00e9minine se sont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es le printemps dernier \u00e0 Gold Coast, en Australie, il y avait quatre combinaisons de fr\u00e8res et soeurs qui repr\u00e9sentaient leur pays: les Panesar, les Woodcroft, les Smythe et les Johnston. Pour tous ceux pr\u00e9sents, l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de repr\u00e9senter le Canada dans un sport \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle internationale repr\u00e9sentait quelque chose de sp\u00e9cial; mais pour certains, le fait de repr\u00e9senter leur pays aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de leur fr\u00e8re ou de leur soeur l\u2019\u00e9tait encore plus.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\"><b>5: Une profession de passion: \u00eatre entra\u00eeneure au niveau \u00e9lite<\/b><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\">Jenn Beagan a v\u00e9cu un changement de carri\u00e8re important en 2015 quand elle a troqu\u00e9 son ruban \u00e0 mesurer et son papier calque pour une planchette \u00e0 pince et un sifflet quand elle a quitt\u00e9 son emploi d\u2019architecte et est devenue entra\u00eeneure \u00e0 temps plein au hockey. Depuis ce temps, Beagan a compl\u00e9t\u00e9 son parcours du PNCE et elle obtiendra bient\u00f4t son dipl\u00f4me sup\u00e9rieur d\u2019entra\u00eeneure.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\"><b>4: Les Championnats nationaux dans six cat\u00e9gories un succ\u00e8s \u00e0 Toronto<\/b><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\">Six cat\u00e9gories d\u2019\u00e2ge en l\u2019espace de 12 jours sur deux terrains de classe mondiale \u00e0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\">Toronto, en Ontario: les Championnats nationaux 2018 ont offert un bon niveau de comp\u00e9tition, du plaisir et une exp\u00e9rience enrichissante aux athl\u00e8tes, entra\u00eeneurs, officiels et membres du personnel d\u2019encadrement. Alors qu\u2019on y a retrouv\u00e9 des centaines d\u2019athl\u00e8tes et entra\u00eeneurs qui repr\u00e9sentaient leurs provinces respectives, les Championnats nationaux 2018 ont \u00e9tabli un v\u00e9ritable standard d\u2019excellence \u00e0 suivre au chapitre du niveau de comp\u00e9tition.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\"><b>3: Le Canada aux Jeux olympiques de la jeunesse 2018<\/b><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\">Bien que le r\u00e9sultat aux Jeux olympiques de la jeunesse n\u2019ait pas \u00e9t\u00e9 celui qu\u2019on esp\u00e9rait, le tournoi, les installations et l\u2019exp\u00e9rience dans son ensemble ont permis aux athl\u00e8tes et aux membres du personnel d\u2019encadrement de vivre une aventure remarquable.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\"><b>2: Le Canada atteint la phase \u00e9liminatoire de la Coupe du monde de hockey masculin<\/b><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\">\u00c0 la suite d\u2019une d\u00e9faite serr\u00e9e de 2-1 contre la Belgique et d\u2019un nul contre l\u2019Afrique du Sud, l\u2019\u00e9quipe nationale canadienne masculine s\u2019est cramponn\u00e9e et a acc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 la phase \u00e9liminatoire de la Coupe du monde. Les Caribous rouges ont conclu le tournoi en 11e place et ainsi maintenu leur classement mondial. Le Canada a obtenu son billet \u00e0 la Coupe du monde 2018 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa victoire surprise contre l\u2019Inde en 2017 lors des demi-finales de la Ligue mondiale.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\"><b>1: Les Canadiennes obtiennent la 5e place, leur meilleur classement \u00e0 vie aux Jeux du Commonwealth<\/b><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\">Le nouvellement nomm\u00e9 entra\u00eeneur-chef Giles Bonnet a donn\u00e9 un objectif bien pr\u00e9cis \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9quipe nationale f\u00e9minine en vue des Jeux du Commonwealth: obtenir un r\u00e9sultat \u00e0 chacun des matchs. N\u2019ayant subi qu\u2019une seule d\u00e9faite aux Jeux du Commonwealth 2018, les Canadiennes ont permis au Canada d\u2019obtenir son meilleur classement \u00e0 vie \u00e0 ce tournoi au hockey sur gazon.
