Every year, on June 23, Olympic Day is celebrated all around the world to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games and invite people to get physically active. 2020 has been a unique and challenging year. Despite the difficult circumstances, let’s show the world the power and strength of Hockey’s Olympic spirit.

How you can celebrate Olympic Day

Engage online by posting photos and/or creating your own short videos around one of the following three messages from this year’s IOC campaign about Olympic Day

#StayStrong – Mental & emotional Wellbeing – e.g. message/short story of overcoming adversity;
#StayHealthy – Covid-19 info and nutrition – e.g. staying safe, home cooking;
#StayActive – Physical wellbeing – e.g. keeping fit, hockey skills at home.

These three themes reflect mental and emotional wellbeing, for example, reducing stress and developing resilience; maintaining good levels of health through Covid-19 by following healthy lifestyles, such as good nutrition; and maintaining physical fitness, for example, through home exercise and training.
