The Vancouver Rowing Club Jokers field hockey club is hosting a “Just Because Party” on June 17, to bring the hockey community together – just because – and raise funds for Field Hockey Canada.
The social event for the greater field hockey community will be hosted at the Vancouver Rowing Club in Stanley Park from 7:00pm-1:00am.
“This is the perfect occasion to catch up with friends over a few drinks, renew acquaintances with some old familiar faces within the field hockey community,” says Tim Pilkington of the VRC Jokers Field Hockey Club. “Later on, dance the night away if you feel so inclined. On top of all this, you’ll also be supporting our national teams.”
The event serves not only as a way for the hockey community to come together, but also as a fundraiser for Field Hockey Canada, with proceeds from the event going directly to the organization and its National Programs.
Tickets cost $15 and are available online here.
The night will unfold roughly as follows:
About the Venue
The main floor of the Vancouver Rowing Club has a big hall, The Harbour Room, with a smaller lounge bar adjacent, The Trophy Lounge. Combined, these rooms make a great venue for big events such as this. There are two bars, and a deck with some of the best views in the city, so in mid-June you can expect to hang out on the deck with a cold drink in hand, watching the sun set over Vancouver.
Parking is available in Stanley Park, and the #19 bus stop is very close to the club.
Note: Under 19’s are welcome, but the event is not suitable for under 14’s. Food will not be served.
