Alberta men’s team to compete in U16 Nationals

Field Hockey Alberta has notified FHC they will be sending an eligible men’s team to compete in the 2009 FHC U16 National Championship. The team was previously scheduled to compete in five exhibition contests against tournament teams

Field Hockey Canada is currently accepting bids for the 2010 FHC National Championships. Bids are open to Provincial Field Hockey Associations and their affiliated clubs. Please view the 2010 Bid Application form for bid requirements and timelines.

Field Hockey Canada has received support from Sport Canada for the
development of the FunStix program. Thus in order to further develop
the curriculum and content for FunStix, Field Hockey Canada (FHC) is
seeking a Contractor who, based on an existing framework, will develop
the curriculum for FHC’s new national mini program FunStix, including
preparing the lesson plans using FHC’s Long Term Athlete Development
(LTAD) stages and making sure fundamental movement skills, such as the
ABCs (agility, balance and coordination), are embedded in the
curriculum…

Roster announced for Australia Tour
July 10, 2009
Field Hockey Canada and head coach Alan Brahmst released on Friday the names of sixteen players and six staff who will make up Canada’s national men’s team on their Australian Tour scheduled for July 21st to August 9th, 2009.

Schedule re-released for U16 Nationals

A newly re-drafted 44-match schedule for the 2009 FHC U16 National Championships was officially released today four weeks before the gold medal matches are to be played. Both the men’s and women’s tournaments will take place at the two-pitch Iceland Fields venue in Mississauga, Ontario.
