When preparing your taxes, remember that the Children’s Fitness Tax Credit is now doubled.
This tax credit now lets parents claim up to $1,000 per child for fees paid in 2014 for eligible fitness expenses. To be eligible for the Children’s Fitness Tax Credit, expenses must be for a child who is under 16 (or is under 18 if eligible for the disability tax credit) at the beginning of the year in which the expenses are paid.
Expenses must be for the cost of the child’s registration or membership in a prescribed program of physical activity.
