Field Hockey Canada > Field Hockey Canada names Men’s Pan American Championships Youth Squad

Field Hockey Canada is pleased to announce the 20 athletes who have been named to the Men’s Pan American Championships Youth Squad. This selection comes after 79 athletes participated in two national identification camps in Brampton, Ontario (October 26 and 27) and Vancouver, British Columbia (November 9 and 10).

“The identification camps were the first step in a long process for a chance to represent Canada at the international level,” said Anthony Farry, head coach of the senior men’s team. “Selection to this group is one more step along the athlete pathway that leads to the senior men’s team.”

On December 20, nine players from this squad will be named to the team that Canada will send to the 2014 Men’s Youth Pan American Championships in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Taking place from February 1 to 8, 2014, the championships will play a modified game called Hockey 5.
