When the Canadian Women’s Field Hockey Team was in its hey-day in the 1980’s, Sharon Creelman was right in the thick of things.
Coming onto the senior international scene as an eighteen year-old, she quickly became a staple and eventually became one of the most capped female athletes in the history of Canadian field hockey with 139 international matches to her name.
Creelman competed in three Olympic Games, four World cups, and three Pan American Games, coming away with silver and bronze at the World Cup and silver and bronze at the Pan Am Games.
Throughout her twelve-year career, not only did Creelman become one of the most decorated Canadian field hockey players, but she also captained the Women’s National Team from 1987 to 1994.
Creelman credits family, friends, and coaches for support throughout her illustrious her career.
