Surrey’s Harkirat Ahluwalia began playing field hockey after seeing his sister take up the sport as a part of the Surrey Sharks.

He started playing as a sport on the side in addition to soccer, but field hockey quickly became his passion.

Before joining the Canadian National Program in 2013, he was a staple provincially on Team British Columbia. As an Under-16 player he was named Player of the Year. Ahluwalia now plays club hockey for India Club in Surrey, BC.
