Samantha Wright

Samantha Wright began playing field hockey at fourteen with her high school, Waterloo Oxford DSS. After many years of competitive ice hockey as a left-handed shooter, she transitioned to field hockey and took up goalkeeping. Samantha began competing provincially after she was selected to the 2023 U16 Team Ontario roster. She continued her provincial career with 2024 U16 Team Ontario, where she earned a silver medal. In 2025, she played for the U18 Team Ontario White team and received the ‘Top Goalkeeper’ award. She has also been selected to the roster for the 2025 & 2026 CanAm Indoor Series, as well as the U18 Czechia Tour.
