Nine athletes will represent Canada at the Men’s 2014 Pan American Youth Championships, being held February 4 to 8, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The tournament plays a modified game called Hockey 5s.
The team will be led by head coach Inderpal Sehmbi and assistant coach Scott Sandison, supported by performance analyst Paul Bundy, athletic therapist Elwin Lau and team manager Erin Maia.

These nine players were selected from the squad of 20 athletes who were previously identified following two national identification camps in Ontario and British Columbia.
Working in collaboration with a variety of partners, Field Hockey Canada is the national sport governing body responsible for the development, growth and promotion of field hockey in Canada. Through the Women’s and Men’s National programs, Field Hockey Canada selects, prepares and promotes Canada’s teams for international competitions including Continental Championships, World Championships, and major multi-sport games such as the Olympic Games, Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games.
