Elise Wong was born in Vancouver, BC and moved to the States when she was 7 years old. Since then she’s played for the Windy City Field Hockey Club in Chicago and trained with the U.S. National Junior Program. She played four seasons of NCAA field hockey at Princeton, winning two Ivy League titles.

In her final season with Princeton, she was named a Honda Sport Award Finalist, First Team All-American, Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, and selected to the NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team and Mid-Atlantic Region First Team.

After the majority of early career came south of the border, Wong first played with the Canadian program in a training camp setting in the summer of 2018. She made her officially capped senior debut for the Canadian Women’s National Team in a six-game series in China in January 2019.
