Isabel (Izzy) Sutton grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and began training with the NextGen program this past August. As a Canadian growing up in Michigan, it has always been one of her dreams to play with Canada. Izzy currently plays for Fer de Lance club, and has participated in a number of National events. She began her field hockey journey at the age of 7. She was Captain for her club’s international competition in the Hague in 2023. She was Varsity starter through high school finishing as Captain this past season helping lead her team to win the MHSAA State Championship title. Izzy was named NFHCA 2025 High School Player to watch; MHSAA Second team All-State; SEC Southeastern Conference All SEC honorable mention; SEC scholar athlete; voted by Coaching staff to receive the Spirit and Leadership Award; 2024 Division 1 SEC Sportsmanship award; 2024 Woman in Sports and the Community award by the AA USL Soccer league; 2023/24 Teammate of the year award by thefhockeyanalyst. Izzy is excited to continue her journey as a NCAA Division 1 student-athlete at Georgetown University in the Fall of 2026.
