Lyle has been playing field hockey since he was 8 years old after his father introduced him to the sport.

Originally from Scarborough, he has played his club hockey for Mississauga for many years now. Lyle has been a member of the Men’s Junior Development Squad since being identified in the summer of 2014.

Fernandez is now a full time student and resides in Mississauga, ON.
