Monet Thurbide began her field hockey journey at the age of four with the Victoria Junior Field Hockey Association, later refining her skills through the UVIC Rising Stars Field Hockey Program. Her talent and determination led her to help Oak Bay High School win the AAA BC High School Provincial Championship in 2021.
Monet has represented Team BC at the Canadian National Championships in 2022, 2023, and 2024, contributing to her team’s gold medal victories each year. Known for her leadership, work ethic, speed, and intensity, she excels both during training and in competition.
In the fall of 2025, Monet will take her field hockey career to the NCAA level, playing for the University of Pennsylvania’s Quakers. Her long-term goal is to represent Canada at international championships and the Olympics.
