Sam Cabral

Sam Cabral is a Vancouver native who graduated from Eric Hamber Secondary. After 10 years playing in the Vancouver Hawks program, Cabral has shifted to UBC where he studies in the faculty of arts and plays for the UBC Thunderbirds Field Hockey Club. He was introduced to the game by his parents at the age of eight and paired the sport while playing soccer growing up in Vancouver.

Cabral played in Canada’s junior development system since 2016 when he played his first international junior event against against USA. He joined the Men’s National Program in 2020 and received his first international senior cap on a January test-tour in Chile.
