The program sends young people with sport administration backgrounds to work with developing Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) and National Olympic Committees (NOCs) around the world.
The Play It Forward program is essentially this: When teams raise money for charity, their clubs get money for their expenses in return. We are looking for 30 teams to join this pilot program.
Paramjit was a prominent member of India Field Hockey Club upon his arrival to Canada in the late 1960’s. He represented Canada on the Men’s National Team in several international tournaments throughout the 1970’s and early 1980’s. Parmajit was also a key member of BC Field Hockey (the predecessor to Field Hockey BC) Board of Directors (coaching) and as a provincial coach.

Anne Merklinger, whose impressive career in high-performance sport spans more than four decades as an athlete and leader, has been named to a key leadership position for high-performance sport in Canada as the chief executive officer of Own the Podium, chairman John Furlong announced Thursday on behalf of the organization’s Board of Directors.
