About our Team

We are the Canadian Women’s Masters O40 Outdoor Team and we invite you to join our athletic journey!

Our team represents a unique and inspiring group of athletes from across the country, bringing together players from Ontario, British Columbia, and Yukon. As the youngest Masters Team, our squad reflects the growing strength and depth of women’s field hockey nationwide. We are made up of women between the ages of 40 to 49—mothers, professionals, leaders, and lifelong athletes—who have come together with a shared passion for the sport and for representing Canada on the international stage.

Our team motto, “Be Bold,” defines how we approach both the game and our journey. We strive to take risks, trust the process, and support one another every step of the way. We value respect—for our teammates, opponents, and officials—while fostering a culture of positive encouragement, accountability, and open communication.

We celebrate each other’s strengths and the small wins, invest in building meaningful relationships, and create an environment where every athlete feels supported to grow and perform. Above all, we aim to embody the values of sport and the spirit of Canada—resilience, inclusivity, and teamwork.

More than just a team, we are a community—empowering one another to pursue high-performance sport at a stage of life where competing at this level requires balance and unwavering commitment. We play not only for ourselves, but to inspire the next generation of athletes and to show that sport does not have an expiration date.

About the Fundraiser

Where you come in

Our team is a fully self-funded program, where each athlete supports the costs associated with training, travel, accommodation, and competition. As such, fundraising, donations and sponsorship are crucial to support our team’s endeavours. Any amount you are able to contribute moves us one step closer to our goal of competing with every contribution directly supporting our athletes as they represent Canada internationally.

This event is more than just a tournament. This World Cup is an opportunity to compete, connect, and proudly represent Canada within a global community of athletes. This journey is about more than competition—it is about perseverance, representation, and the power of sport to bring people together across borders, generations, and experiences.

Any amount you are able to contribute moves us one step closer to our goal of competing. We are extremely appreciative of any level of donation, and are equally appreciative of your willingness to simply share our campaign with your network. Whether you are able to contribute financially or not – you can still be a part of our journey and join our TEAM by helping us get the word out.

For those giving large sum donations ($1,000 or more) we encourage you to please download the charitable donation form here and contact Field Hockey Canada directly to process your donation. Hailey Yhap (Events & Engagement Officer) – hyhap@fieldhockey.ca  THANK YOU!
