The Scoop is a Field Hockey Canada interview show co-hosted by Kevin Underhill and Ali Baggott. The show shares the voices and stories of the Canadian field hockey community. Season one of the Scoop will follow the Men’s National Team on their Road to Tokyo. Each episode will feature an interview with an athlete or coach and will be centred around their hockey experiences and their preparation for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Johnston talks about his youth hockey experience and how family played a role in his hockey upbringing; then he highlights major career accomplishments including the 2016 Games; and closes with the preparation for this year’s Olympics and how the team is shaping up.
In today’s episode, Field Hockey Canada’s Kevin Underhill interviews MNT forward Oliver Scholfield. Scholfield talks about moving from the UK to the Canadian hockey community and the differences in hockey culture. He reflects on the 2019 Olympic Qualifier and how this year’s national team is positioned heading towards the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Kindler talks about some of the unique facets of being a keeper in today’s international game. Kindler got his first international cap in 2008 and her currently stands on the precipice of 100. He reflects on some key moments throughout his career including his crucial performance in the 2019 Olympic Qualifier.
In today’s episode, Field Hockey Canada’s Kevin Underhill chats with veteran Red Caribou forward Matt Sarmento. Matt made a meteoric rise to the top of the Canadian game during the mid 2010s. Getting his start in ice hockey and baseball, Matt talks about his transition to field hockey, his passion for sport and his Olympic dreams. He reflects on major milestones in his career including the 2016 Rio Olympics and walks us through some of the challenges and opportunities of the last year.
In today’s episode, Ali Baggott checks in with Keegan Pereira. Keegan was born in India and played his first international cap as a member of the Canadian Men’s National Team against India in 2009! What a moment! Since that dramatic moment, he’s played a part of every major MNT storyline. The super-skilled Canadian midfielder has played domestically and abroad and talks about his experience growing up in Ontario and falling in love with the sport.The Scoop is created by Field Hockey Canada.
