Field Hockey Canada > WATCH: Tupper scores twice for Schaerweijde in dramatic comeback

Canadian hockey fans have seen this before.

Men’s National Team captain Scott Tupper was at the centre of dramatics for his club team, Schaerweijde, in its last regular season game last weekend.

Tupper’s squad was down 3-0 to Cartouche, but the Canadian scored his team’s first goal, set up the second, and scored another – the game tying goal – in dramatic fashion at the end of the game.

And his celebration was worthy of the heroics (see the video below).

The tie sent Schaerweijde to the playoffs to face SCHC Bilthoven. Tupper and Schaerweijde dropped the first match in a shootout and will play the second game of the best of three series on Saturday, May 27. A third and deciding game will be played on Sunday, if necessary.

Tupper will be joining the Canadian Men’s National Team at the World League Semi-Final in London, England from June 15-26, where Canada looks to qualify for the 2018 World Cup by finishing in the Top 5.
