The 1964 Men’s Olympic Field Hockey Team was the first Canadian field hockey team to qualify for an Olympic Games. Just two years after its first internatoinal match, it competed at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
It is now the first Team to be inducted into the Field Hockey Canada Hall of Fame. Each of the 2016 Inductees had a special tie to the Olympic Games. The other members inducted in the Olympic-themed class were Janet Ellis (Builder), and the 1964 Men’s Olympic Team.
