2014 U16 National Championships – Day 3

July 26, 2014 | Field Hockey Canada |

Day 3 of the U16 National Championships saw great field hockey action and great weather in West Vancouver, BC.

The girls started the day off with BC-White taking on Alberta Blue. The game play was quite even, but BC put away three goals, winning 3-0. Next up was Ontario vs. BC Blue: two teams who have dominated the championship thus far. Ontario showed great skill and determination as they defeated BC-Blue. In the evening, BC-Yellow generated their second win in a close match against Alberta Blue. They were followed by another Alberta vs. BC game as BC Blue earned their third win of the championship against Alberta White.

Ontario boys remain undefeated after day three, beating Alberta. They were followed by an all BC match where BC-Yellow defeated BC-White, finishing second in the pool. Ontario will face Alberta, and BC will face BC in the semi-finals tomorrow; all teams playing for their spot in the Gold Medal game on Sunday.
