It was an intense fourth day at U16 National Championships filled with great field hockey action in West Vancovuer, BC.
The boys competed in semi-final matches where Ontario confidently secured their spot in the gold medal game on Sunday after defeating Alberta. BC-Yellow and BC-White played a close game in the second semi-final match, BC-White leading 3-1 at half. BC-Yellow made a great come back in the second half and earned a spot in the gold medal game with a 5-3 victory.
The girls completed round robin play with Ontario remaining undefeated and finishing first in the pool despite a close game against BC-Yellow. BC-Blue finished second in the pool with a win against BC-White. In an all Alberta game in the morning, Alberta Blue was victorious over Alberta White, who they will face again first thing tomorrow morning.
