In 2015, Canada’s women’s field hockey team took significantly strides towards their goal of qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The young squad grew immensely, making history along the way by winning a medal at the Pan American Games, something Canada’s women hadn’t done for sixteen years.
Taking a look back at the year that was for the Canadian women’s field hockey team, part one of the Year-in-Review video series begins with the all important World League Round 2 match against Chile, where Canada beat its rival in a dramatic shootout to advance to World League Round 3 and a chance to play for 2016 Olympic qualification.
