2017 Men’s National Program Carding and ID Camp Information

The Men’s National Program (MNP) will be hosting a Carding and Identification Camp for the upcoming 2017 carding cycle.  The purpose of the Camp will be to identify athletes to be nominated for the Sport Canada Athlete Assistance Program (AAP Carded Athletes) and the Senior Development Squad. The camp will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia and will take place at Rutledge Field in West Vancouver, Wright Field in Vancouver, and Fortius Sport & Health in Burnaby from Monday October 17th to Friday October 21st, 2016.

To be eligible for nomination, athletes must:

  • Be a Canadian Citizen and have a valid Canadian Passport.
  • Attend the fitness testing and information session on October 17th.
  • Attend the turf training sessions on October 18th – October 21st.

The sessions are as follows:

Program information and fitness testing sessions:

  • Monday October 17th – 1:00-8:00pm, Fortius Sport & Health, 3713 Kensington Ave, Burnaby

Turf sessions:

  • Tuesday October 18th -11:00-1:00pm. Rutledge Field, West Vancouver
  • Wednesday October 19th -11:00-1:00pm. Rutledge Field, West Vancouver
  • Thursday October 20th -11:00-1:00pm. Rutledge Field, West Vancouver
  • Friday October 21st -11:00-1:00pm. Rutledge Field, West Vancouver
  • Friday October 21st 8:00-10:00pm. UBC, Vancouver

Athletes who are not currently identified on the Senior Team, Senior Development Squad or Junior squad will need to express intent to attend the camp by registering, no later than October 10th by using completing this form.

There will be a levy of $100 for athletes who are not currently identified on the Senior Team, Senior Development Squad or Junior Squad. Payment must be received prior to the first session. Cash, e-transfer or a cheque made out to Field Hockey Canada will be accepted. Out of town athletes are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation and meals.
