C’est le père de Sunnyqui l’a introduit au hockey sur gazon à un jeune âge. Il pratique ce sport depuis l’âge de neuf ans et il a remporté un titre national U-18 au Canada. Son premier match international senior a été disputé contre le Chili en 2014 à Santiago.

Sunny was introduced to field hockey at a young age by his father. He has played since the age of nine and has gone on to win a National Under-18 title in Canada. His first senior international match was played in 2014 in Santiago, Chile against Chile.
