Field Hockey Canada is excited to announce plans for the 2026 Hall of Fame Celebration, taking place in conjunction with the 2026 U SPORTS Field Hockey Championships in Waterloo, Ontario in November. The event will bring together Hall of Fame inductees, national leaders, community members, family, friends, and supporters from across the country to celebrate the outstanding individuals who have shaped Canadian field hockey. The 2026 U SPORTS Championships will be hosted November 4-8 in Waterloo.

Location: University of Waterloo (2026 U SPORTS Championship Venue)
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Hall of Fame Celebration Luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, and will take place prior to the U SPORTS matches that day. The gathering will provide an opportunity to formally recognize Field Hockey Canada’s Hall of Fame Classes of 2024 and 2025, while also welcoming past inductees and celebrating the rich history and continued growth of our sport across Canada. The Class of 2025 includes athletes Darlene Stoyka, Michelle Conn, and Sharon Bayes; builders Barb Carmichael, Rhonda Lewis and Patricia Clarke; coaching contributors Liz Hoffman, Gail Wilson, Dru Marshall and Joyce Slipp as well is 2024’s coach inductee John De Souza; and official Ian Gibson.
The luncheon will feature inductee recognition, celebration of Canadian field hockey excellence, and the opportunity for attendees to connect with generations of leaders, athletes, coaches, officials, and builders who have contributed to our sport.
Ticket sales will open in the week of September 14. Planned ticket packages will include Hall of Fame Celebration Luncheon & Admission to the U SPORTS Championship competition on November 7. Additional details regarding ticket purchasing, guest speakers, and event programming will be announced in the coming weeks.
