Former assistant coach to the Canadian women’s national team, Beth Ali, has been appointed as Canada’s Chef de Mission for the 2011 Winter World University Games in Erzurum, Turkey.
Beth has been involved with field hockey for many years serving as Executive Director of Field Hockey Ontario, President of the CIS Field Hockey Coaches Association, and a Field Hockey Canada Board Member.
She is currently Associate Director of Athletics and Recreation at Ryerson University.
The 2011 Winter Universiade will feature alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, curling, freestyle skiing, figure skating, ice hockey (women’s and men’s), nordic combined, short track speed skating, ski jumping, and snowboarding.
