Touring Ireland represents a perfect opportunity to assess where the WNT are at – while also providing the foundation for the upcoming Rio campaign. The WNT will play against Ireland, Scotland, and Wales through the 17 day tour. Ireland (currently ranked 14th by the FIH) provides a great benchmark to measure the team’s recent progress, while Scotland and Wales allow the WNT to get familiar with two teams competing at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games next year.

You’ll notice an injection of youth into the squad, with eight players from the Junior World Cup Squad making selection. There are also a number of athletes set to earn their first international caps in Ireland.

The WNT will be coming off a four match test series vs. Argentina U21 in Vancouver (May 26-30) as well as Senior Nationals (June 11-16).

WNT Summer Schedule
