Australia defeats Canada in indoor exhibition

The Australian men’s and women’s indoor national teams each earned a victory over their Canadian counterparts in the first of four exhibition contests Monday evening at Ryerson University in Toronto.

Emily Rix scored the lone goal for the Canadian women in a 4-1 loss.  In the game prior, Jonathan Roberts and Devohn Teixeria scored for the Canadian men in a 4-2 loss.

The men’s and women’s teams will face each other again at Ryerson on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening.  Official test matches will take place at the University of Toronto with the men’s and women’s teams each playing two games on Saturday and Sunday.

Admission to all Ryerson games is free while test matches at U of T will be $5 for the entire day.
