Blog: Women’s Indoor Team Day 3

Buenos Dias Canada,

Were back; this time with Kri and Angela.  This morning we played our first exhibition game against Venezuela.  We got off to a slow start, as we were setilling getting used to the floor, but ended the half up by one with a goal scored by Jess Buttinger.  In the second, we picked up our ball speed and potted four more goals scored by Nicole Zaharopoulos, Angela Lancaster, and Ali Lee with two.

After the game, while waiting for the bus, we got to enjoy a pick-up game played by our coaches with several locals (QB was a crowd favorite, and took pictures and signed autographs after the game).  It was great to cheer them on, and to be in a country were so many people play the game.  Once we got back to the hotel, we had lunch and headed to the pool for a team pool session lead by Melanie Evens (our team therapist).

It was great to have a nice relaxing afternoon, and now that we are all rested, we are ready to take on Argentina!!
