The Organizing Committee of the 2013 Pan American Cup is excited to announce a special opportunity for all junior players, to come down to Cassie Campbell Community Centre Turf and be coached by the Canadian Men’s National Team.
On Sunday August 4 from 2-3:30 pm, members of the National Team are running Brampton’s local juniors through 1.5 hours of instruction, covering all of the basics of field hockey, in a fun and supportive environment. All ages and abilities are welcome, especially those who are new to the sport. This will provide an excellent opportunity for the kids to learn from some of the best players in Canada, who are focussed on engaging with the community and promoting field hockey to the youth across the country.
The National Team will also be signing autographs for the kids after the session, so please bring down sticks, t-shirts, or anything else you would liked signed. Parents are welcome to watch and take pictures.
The session is divided into groups tailored to the skill-level of the participants. From U8 – U18, instructors will run age-specific drills and skills. The focus is on FUN!
Funds raised during the day will go directly to the National Team, to support their 2013/2014 programming, which includes the upcoming Pan American Cup, and the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Suggested minimum donation is $20 per player.
Online donations can be made at to receive a tax receipt. You can also drop off your donations in cash on the day.
Innovation Expedition Inc. has generously agreed to match all donations up to $2,000.
You will be asked to sign the registration sheet when you arrive (to cover insurance). Please ensure you show-up 15-minutes prior to the session, so that we can get everyone signed-in.
We look forward to seeing you out on August 4. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
