British Columbia wins U16 National Championships

Teams from British Columbia have captured the FHC U16 National Championships for the second straight year after victories Sunday afternoon in Mississauga, Ontario.

BC Blue defeated Ontario in the men’s gold medal game 8-0 to win the national title.  Both Parker Woods and Janroop Gill scored hat tricks to lead their team to victory.

BC Blue also captured the women’s national championship with a thrilling 4-3 penalty stroke competition victory over BC White.  The game remained scoreless through both regulation time and extra time.

In the men’s bronze medal game BC White defeated Saskatchewan 3-0 on goals from Amrit Sidhu, Jack Hyslop, and Simran Sidhu.  Ontario Red defeated Alberta for the women’s bronze medal on goals from Alyssa Bull, Adrienne Houle, Holly Scherer, and Leah Burke.
