Three of Field Hockey Canada’s Centres of Excellence Teams will go head to head today in the FHC COE Girls 9 A-Side tournament. Six matches will take place at UBC’s Wright Field this afternoon, with the first match at 2:00pm PT. Check out the full schedule for the double round robin tournament below. The public is free to attend and cheer on their local COE Team!
Today’s matches will be played on a full field, and each game will be 35 minutes in duration, consisting of two 17.5 minute halves. Each team will have 8 field players and a goalie on the field. There will be a winner for each game – a team can win in regulation time or through a shootout competition if the score is tied at the end of regulation.
Team Tamanawis will look to defend their victory at last month’s COE 7 A-Side Invitational.
